You rarely see the staff alone because they're always quick to drop what they're doing to help a customer, but remember when they're at their busiest to be patient if they are helping someone else because that's what they do best- help. I rarely know what I need or what I can use in place of something else for my project, but they always seem to know, and they explain things so I can get the right things and be on my way without having to return until my next project.
They also have a great variety of household items and gifts. Totally beats driving to EPA and Home Depot."

"Great local hardware store in Palo Alto. Every time I go here I always feel well taken care of by their sales staff. Super HELPFUL, fast checkouts and tons of great product for every day around the house. I bought a Weber BBQ grille a few months back and not only did they deliver it to my home for free they made sure it was set up and even cleaned before they left my house. I had installed one as best as possible and went to Ace hardware to get the right type of screws to hold in my additional locks... "Best hardware store around. Best employees, best service, best selection, best products.
I drive 15 miles to shop here instead of my local hardware store. I stopped there yesterday looking for products to help me get some paint transfer off my car. Thomas not only showed me the best products but to make sure they met my needs he came outside with me to look at the car and showed me how to apply the products. He took the time to take off a lot of the paint to show me how to do it. If you need help it's the best customer service around."

"I have found all the employees at Ace really helpful the many times I've gone there. But I particularly want to commend Thomas and Chuck for helping me with a very thorny problem that involved fixing my flagstone patio. When I found it was difficult to describe the patio problems, Thomas suggested that I text him some pictures and he was able to give me some great advice after he saw them. And Chuck helped me figure out another way to approach the problem and his advice also turned out to be very good. My hat is off to both of them!"
